The PPI PS TT Coupe

With the original PPI RS TT (mark I), the then newly formed PPI Automotive Design GmbH entered onto the Audi tuning scene with a very bold statement. The response from their customers and the automotive press was phenomenal – in its first year, they outsold projected production by a factor of 8 to 1, and were published in well over 50 well known automotive journals during the same time period. With Audi’s new (mark II) TT coupe, PPI has come up with another design and further shows its ability to execute unique and new ideas, which are sure to stir the imagination and spark an emotional response. Today, PPI Automotive Design GmbH announces the new PPI PS TT Coupe for the discerning automotive enthusiast.

PPI PS TT Complimentary Aerodynamics – Sharp and Sporty

Front. The front spoiler updates the look of the TT with a statement of performance and design. The PS TT front spoiler enhances the look of the car optically and makes it appear lower. The lower lip on the front bumper was designed to produce a wrap around airflow into the lower air channels, and prevent lift from the front while the car is at speed.

Front Window Spoiler.
The PS TT front window spoiler. Is designed to improve airflow through the center section of the car, and deflect air around the windshield. The unit also complements the crisp lines of the PPI PS TT aerodynamics. (The design, while unique to PPI in Germany, also pays homage to a designer from Italy, from where this concept originates)

Side Sills.
The purpose-built, PPI side sills feature a built in air deflector with an optional, functioning lower air channel that feeds air into the integrated vent for rear brake cooling. Importantly, the side sills are designed to deflect air upward, and capture underbody air into the channels creating a situation of down force in the center section of the car.

Rear Bumper Diffuser.
The rear diffuser is designed to fit into the OEM TT bumper cover. This unit includes larger openings for the PPI sport stainless steel dual twin-pipe exhaust system as well as a lower diffuser for handling turbulent air. It is also available for single exhaust systems.

Rear Spoiler. The PPI PS TT also has a unique low profile rear spoiler I (Stage I) that spans almost the entire width of the car without disturbing its clean lines. It is fully operational in conjunction with the electronic spoiler mechanism to provide maximum down force without compromising the style of the car. An optional spoiler II attachment is available in Carbon Fibre and other materials, and completes the Stage II spoiler for increased down force.

Body Trim.
Additional trim includes a finishing plate for the top of the rear window with “PPI” embossed into it, mirror pods and a rear spoiler trim extension. All these trim parts are available in Glossy Carbon Fibre, Matte Carbon Fibre, Paintable Carbon Fibre, and Aluminum finish

PPI PS TT Performance and Handling – Crisp and Improved

Engine 2.0L Turbo FSI – Stage I The PPI Performance Kit Stage I includes: Dual stainless steel exhaust system (4 pipe), Modified air intake system, modified engine control unit (ECU). The stage 1 kit produces an increase power output of the original motor from 147kw/200hp to 191kw/260hp and increases torque from 280Nm/206lb-ft to 390Nm/288lbs-ft. Results are a top speed of 250km/h and sprinting from 0-100km/h in only 6.1 sec

Tire and Wheel upgrades. PPI is pleased to offer full tire and wheel upgrades featuring PPI Formula five spoke wheels available currently with an aggressive black finish in 8.5 x 19 ET48 with Michelin PilotSport2 in 235/35ZR19.

Brake and Suspension System.
The Brake System benefits from a more aggressive brake compound (for higher operating temperatures). And the brake calipers are customized in a variety of colors with PPI lettering. Sport springs reduce the ride height by 30mm over the stock OEM system (20mm reduction for the S-line models) giving the vehicle better aerodynamics, performance and a more aggressive stance. For even more stopping power, an optional big brake kit is also available.
